Kristi — looks like you didn’t even bother to read the post. It’s actually extremely rare to give a false accusation of rape (as in only 2–6% of all cases). And anyway, they aren’t calling for this guy to go to prison, they are calling for an FBI investigation and for his hearing to be postponed until there is an outcome — they are calling for due process. Our prison is filled with black men based on nothing more than hearsay that they did this or that (usually petty drug crimes) , who were subject to unreasonable search and seizure (more black men are in prison now than were slaves right before the Civil War). I wonder if you feel as strongly about the rights of these men? Somehow I doubt it. And FYI — yes, I have an issue with Ellison, as I did with Franken, that’s why I indirectly referred to them in my post (I am an independent, BTW…so partisan swipes don’t work here.)
